As a result, over the past few months we have expanded our regional sales team.
Mark Walker joined us from Sun Microsystems as Regional Manager for the North East. Mark has a wealth of experience particularly in the IT and Telco markets having previously worked at CIT and ING Lease as well as having his own brokerage for a number of years.
Jonathan Petchell joined us from HBOS as National Sales Manager covering a wide range of our larger facility applications. Jonathan also has a wide range of experience in funding of middle to large ticket projects having previously run the HBOS specialist sales team funding non standard niche transactions. Prior to this Jonathan also worked at ING Lease and National Australia Bank.
During the last Quarter, Close announced the formation of its new Commercial Division , merging the activities of Close Leasing , Close Asset Finance and Close Invoice Finance under one division. This enables us to work closer with our sister companies and offer customers a wider range of products especially when combining asset finance and invoice discounting facilities.
Following Darren Turner's continued success driving the works Aston DB9RS, 2009 saw him contest the Le Mans 24 Hour race in the new Aston Martin LMP1. Darren enters the 2010 season having resigned as lead works driver for the Aston Martin team and Close Leasing is delighted to announce its continued sponsorship of Darren in the coming year.
